2018 Heritage Day Celebration

Heritage Day is celebrated to reinforce the synergy between language, culture, and diversity, InvoTech Innovation Technology Business Incubator participated in 2018 Heritage day by sharing cultural cuisine and engaging in different cultural activities.
It is a day in which we are encouraged to celebrate our cultural traditions in the wider context of the great diversity of cultures, beliefs, and traditions that make up the nation of South Africa.

Invotech is promoting education as a fundamental tool to our South African children. In celebration of Mandela's 100th birthday we visited Platt Drive Primary school. Where we conducted reading sessions and reading competition . Developing and creating a sustainable mindset among our children to embrace education starting with one book at a time.

Invotech Business Breakfast 24 May 2018

Invotech Business Incubator Breakfast has grown since its inception; this time it was held at Durban ICC. We hosted great speakers amongst them Mrs. Noma Gigaba, Virginie Nothard an International Business Coach and Trainer from Spice Consulting. Our very own Invo-preneur, Joash Govindsamy, who shared his innovative sustainable food technology company and Vukani Mavundla, our Finance Manager and Nirvasan Pillay our Business Development Manager. Our special feature was an extravagant show by talented Dim-Dep, performing a tribal story on the teaching of responsible hunting, preservation of natural resources, culture, and honor. We were entertained by this musical theatre production that explores themes of African heritage, tribalism, the environment and the origins of Soul and the Blues with a special link to SA jazz and popular music.

Helpling Enterpreneurs

In our nearly eight years of existence as a business incubator supporting emerging entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas, InvoTech has become a powerful catalyst for building an entrepreneurial culture in South Africa, helping countless entrepreneurs to unlock the business potential of their ideas, as they put down business roots and turn their dreams of entering the economic mainstream into reality.

Since our formation in 2011 by the Durban University of Technology (DUT) and Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA), InvoTech has been helping budding entrepreneurs in the creative and digital technology, arts and culture, green technology, and agro-processing spaces build sustainable businesses up from their bootstraps, propelling their ideas from conception to commercialisation.

Before gaining traction, most business start-ups face strong headwinds in getting off the ground.
